Vietnam, a comic by Julian Bond

Frame from the comic book Vietnam: 'Men you vote for help make this war possible, will you vote for them again?' After being barred three times from taking his elected seat in the Georgia House of Representatives because of his vocal opposition to the war in Vietnam, Julian Bond wrote a short comic book called Vietnam. Vietnam is targeted to African Americans, connecting anti-war politics with the movement for civil rights and equality in America. Its history of the wars in Vietnam is by necessity simplified, but Bond presents a powerful and moving argument nonetheless. Bond presently serves as the chairman of the NAACP.

Vietnam is reproduced here from images provided by The Sixties Project, and is presented using accessible and valid HTML. I am considering annotating the text with supplementary information and citations, but I may simply leave the comic as it is.
