I have one co-worker with whom I talk politics. The rest of the time I leave my headphones on regardless of whether or not music is playing.
I find that it’s usually more productive to talk politics with cats than most people. That’s why I write.
Of course, then I get nasty emails sent to my blog address.

See, you need to enable comments on your weblog. Then you can have hate mail for all the world to see.
I’m definitely on the cat side of things. I’m an optimist, though, and I hope it only has to be this way in Texas.

overheard in my office, after news broke that iraq may be mistreating POWs: “it’s time to start nuking.” if i were to “talk” to these people i’d be fired.

I work with those liberal academics you always hear about on Fox News. Whenever I want to distract my boss from my slow progress on a new Excel model, I bring up the war and I’m saved for an hour.
I like cats and dogs. I like cats when they’re snuggly or chase invisible objects. I like dogs when they pant and smile at you for hours on end and seem thrilled that you’re just around.
