Thanks to everyone who helped out Sammy of Roosevelt this weekend. I think the little guy’s going to be fine.

I should add that Sarah started up a Sammy Rescue Fund, if you want to help out with his veterinary expenses. It’s either that or decapitating him and mailing his brain to a lab.

  3. He’s the neighborhood stray, and he likes to hang out with us when we drink on the porch. He showed up this weekend in a woeful state; he could barely open his eyes or walk, and was twitching and convulsing. The vet thinks that somebody gave him a large dose of Advantage-type flea medicine for dogs. He’s going to be fine, but, unfortunately, he bit one of the nurses, and since he has no vaccination history, he has to be quarantined an additional 10 days. Poor fella.
